PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Broward Health Sunrise Freestanding Emergency Department is designed to create a calm and organized care environment for both adult and pediatric patients. The material palette focuses on durability and cleanliness while still offering warmth through wood tones, soft colors, and integrated lighting. Waiting areas include decorative ceilings, linear lighting, and architectural concrete columns that give the space a modern identity. Clinical areas such as triage pods, exam rooms, radiology, and resuscitation rooms are standardized with cleanable surfaces, digital headwall graphics, and improved casework layouts that support staff workflow. The design also incorporates clear zoning, intuitive circulation, and consistent detailing to help patients and families navigate the space with confidence. Throughout the project, the team coordinated closely with AHCA requirements to ensure compliance and readiness for Stage II review.
